To record a show on DIRECTV, follow these steps:
1. Turn on your DIRECTV receiver and TV.
2. Navigate to the show you want to record:
– Use the guide or search function to find the channel and program.
– You can also browse through the on-screen guide to find the specific show.
3. Select the show:
– Once you’ve found the show you want to record, press the OK/Select button on your remote to highlight the program.
4. Record the show:
– If it’s a live show, press the Record button on your remote (it looks like a red dot). This will start recording the show immediately.
– If you’re scheduling a future show, select the show and press the Record button. Then, select Record Series (if you want to record all episodes) or Record This Episode to just record the one-time show.
5. Confirm your recording:
– A message will pop up on the screen confirming that the show has been scheduled for recording.
– If you’re recording a series, you’ll see options to record only new episodes, or all episodes, including repeats.
6. Access your recordings:
– To view your recorded shows, press the Menu button on your remote.
– Select Recordings or My Playlist to see all your recorded content.
7. Cancel a recording:
– If you no longer want to record a show, go to the guide, select the program, and choose to cancel the recording or stop a series recording.
